Be a Triton! Take a student-narrated walking tour of the UC San Diego campus.
Using this map, audio track, and your MP3 player, you can take a tour of campus at your own pace, giving you plenty of time to enjoy everything UC San Diego has to offer.
How to take your self-guided tour
- Download the tour's MP3 files in zip format (47MB).
- Unzip and copy the files to your MP3 player.
- If you own a portable CD player, you may also use a CD-burning program to write the tracks to a CD.
- Open and print the self-guided walking tour map:
- Come to the UC San Diego campus:
- Follow the driving directions and parking information for the Triton Tour (take one of the campus shuttles, or park in the Gilman Parking Structure).
- Take a short walk to the Triton statue at the Price Center:
- From the Gilman Parking Structure, walk north on Russell Lane one-half block.
- Walk west on Rupertus Way and bear right at Imprints.
- Walk across the quad, and you'll see the Price Center (left photo above).
- The Triton statue is at the foot of the steps.
- The statue and start point are indicated by a star on the map (
).
- Begin playing the audio tour.
- The walking portion of the tour will last approximately 40 minutes.

- The self-guided tour doesn't include visits to classrooms or residence halls. Take a virtual tour of typical residence hall rooms or on-campus apartments online.
