
When you volunteer as a proud UC San Diego parent or family member you are able to enjoy campus events and share your perspective with other UC San Diego parents and family members. During the course of the year we have the following options to volunteer with Parent & Family Programs Staff:
Summer Send Offs: As a partner with the Alumni Association, parents and family members are needed to host or attend First Year Student Send Offs in the Bay Area, LA Area, or San Diego Area.
Write a Piece for the Triton Family Connection e-Newsletter: We are always looking for perspective pieces for the newsletter, write up something from a parent or family perspective and send to Parent & Family Programs for submission!
On-Campus Housing Move In: Parents and family members are needed staff tables with water and resources for those individuals moving into on-campus housing.
Family Weekend: Help our parents and family members have a great weekend, provide direction, assist in events, host an event, the options are endless!
Scholars Day: Scholar's Day is an invite only event for prospective students with specific academic achievements. More then 800 students and family members come to campus to decide of UC San Diego is the best fit for their college experience.
Admit Day: Admit Day is a campus wide event for those prospective students considering attending UC San Diego after being admitted. Over 12,000 students and family members descend on campus to gather information and opinions.
Transfer Admit Day: Transfer Admit Day is a campus event specifically for those students considering transferring to the university.
Bay Area Receptions: If you live in the Bay Area join UC San Diego staff for this traveling Admit Day to discuss the benefits of going to UC San Diego.
All Campus Graduation Ceremony:"ACGC" is a campus-wide event for graduating students and their families. Current parents and family members can help to staff the event and interact with those graduating seniors and their families.
