Become an IRP peer facilitator

The UC San Diego Intergroup Relations Program is pleased to announce an exciting internship opportunity for students to serve as an IRP peer facilitator.

Being a peer facilitator gives you a unique opportunity to hone and practice your dialogue communication skills and to engage in social justice action. And it's a great career-building experience that will help you prepare for graduate or professional school. 

You'll learn about:

  • Leadership and communication
  • Group facilitation
  • Dealing with conflict
  • Creating change
  • Working across differences (gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.)
  • and much more!

    • Develop close relationships and support networks with your peers
    • Take part in social justice action on campus
    • Make a difference
  • You'll receive:
    • A certificate in Intergroup Relations (awarded to all interns who complete the experience)
    • A letter of recommendation (provided and sent to graduate schools as requested)
    • Academic Internship Program (AIP) course credit (may be available for students with upper division standing) 

How to apply:

  • Download and save the application to your computer.
  • Complete the application by typing in your responses.
  • Re-save, then submit via e-mail to Brett Robertson by March 12, 2010.
